2-(1-Phenoxypropan-2-yl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline is an intermediate in synthesizing N1,N2-Dibenzyl-N1,N2-bis(1-phenoxypropan-2-yl)ethane-1,2-diamine (D417043), an irreversible α-antagonist used in the treatment of hypertension. It has a relatively slow onset and prolonged effect when compared to alternative α-blockers.
