N,N-Diisopropylamine is used in the synthesis of orally active and irreversible inhibitors of the human growth factor receptor-2 kinase. Also used in the synthesis of pyrimidine derivatives similar to Imatinib mesylate for treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia.
